The Importance of Wigs
Wigs are the artificial covering of hair. They are worn on the head for different artistic or stylistic purposes. They come in all attractive colors and sizes. They can be made from a variety of materials, depending on what kind of wig the customer wants.
As the materials used to make wigs are varied so are the types of it. Standard cap wigs is the most basic and affordable type in the market. The hair is pre-set with a style on this wig. Monofilament cap wig has a mesh at the crown made of materials such as nylon. This mesh looks like the skin of the wearer and presents a more natural look. The hair on this product can be styled into any formation. Capless wigs as the name suggests do not have a cap, rather they have vertical lace strips which are adjusted into the hair. Human hair wigs are made from the hair of people with different ethnic backgrounds so that almost everyone can find one that suits them. These types are relatively expensive. Other types include synthetic, lace wigs.
The word "Wig" were first used by the royalties who embraced it as a style accessory with Queen Elizabeth's famous red wig. Then the wigs were thought of as an important item in men's attire. Wigs in these eras came with prestige attached to them. Later wigs became the signature style of lawyers, judges and politicians. Nowadays wigs are worn for other purpose than style as well. These include concealing baldness for both men and women. Men have a natural tendency to become bald as they age and women can become bald by going through the procedure of chemotherapy. There are other reasons for baldness as well but no matter what the reason is wigs are there to make life easy for these people.
